The Picture Girl By Matt Strackbein |
This short story accompanies the pitch for a series I want to do about a girl who can go inside of photographs as a means of temporary tim-travel, a trick her grandmother taught her. Along the way the main character, Jane, realizes her grandmother originally learned the trick as a member of a secret society. But Jane wasn't the only person outside of the old society to learn the trick and now former members want to recruit her to help prevent an old childhood friend of hers from breaking the society's cardinal rule, and meeting a disastrous end.
